Happy First Birthday!!!

The girls turned ONE on April 17, 2009! We had a BBQ at the park on a beautiful spring day to celebrate with some close friends and family. We all had such a nice time. The girls had fun playing with the balloons, eating cake for the first time (especially after a 100% organic, healthy diet), and opening some presents. In the last picture, they are holding their pink teddy bears and as you can see are growing like crazy. At their one-month appointment, Olivia weighed 23 pounds 5 ounces and Abigail weighed 22 pounds 4 ounces. They are both really tall as well. They both have 6 teeth, 4 on the bottom and 2 on top. They are healthy and happy!


Happy first birthday, my darling Olivia and Abigail!! I cannot believe it has been one year since I gave birth to you. In such a short time you have gone from sleeping and feeding around the clock to little girls who each have a distinct personality.

Olivia, you are such a happy girl and so laid-back, content almost all the time. You are so adventurous and I can see you learning as you point to things each day. We are enjoying your shoulder-shimmy dances, your new words, and your attempts to stand on your own. You will be walking soon! Your huge smile always melts mommy's heart. I love you Livvy.

Abigail, you are such a joyful girl and get so excited about new things! You are so passionate about things and love to be around people. You seem to know exactly what you want and are very determined. We enjoy your excitement when playing with your toys, your willingness to try and eat new foods, and mommy always looks forward to her daily cuddles. I love you Abby.

Both of you bring so much joy to our lives and make us laugh and smile each day. We marvel at how much God blessed us by giving us each of you. Daddy and I pray for you every day and love you with all of our hearts! We can't wait to see how you will grow in the coming year!
